Dennis F Szabo 78 of Manchester died Saturday January 2, 2021. Born in Passaic, raised in Clifton, he resided in Garfield before he moved to Manchester 5 years ago. He worked for ABC Sports in New York City as a Technical Manager for many years before retiring in 1999. He was a technical manager for Monday Night Football, college football games, Triple Crown, & the Olympics. He earned an Emmy for the 1988 XV Winter Olympic Games in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Surviving are his wife of 52 years Carolyn, daughters, Teresa Bianchi & husband John and Sharon Buchinsky & husband Chuck, Dina Martorana & husband Al; sisters, Marybeth Kokora & Patricia Strobel and 3 grandchildren, Maya Bianchi and Rachel & Charlie Buchinsky. Memorial Mass is Saturday 10 AM at St John’s Church, Lakehurst with inurnment to follow at St Joseph’s Cemetery, Toms River. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38101.
