Dennis F Szabo 78 of Manchester died Saturday January 2, 2021. Born in Passaic, raised in Clifton, he resided in Garfield before he moved to Manchester 5 years ago. He worked for ABC Sports in New York City as a Technical Manager for many years before retiring in 1999. He was a technical manager for Monday Night Football, college football games, Triple Crown, & the Olympics. He earned an Emmy for the 1988 XV Winter Olympic Games in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Surviving are his wife of 52 years Carolyn, daughters, Teresa Bianchi & husband John and Sharon Buchinsky & husband Chuck, Dina Martorana & husband Al; sisters, Marybeth Kokora & Patricia Strobel and 3 grandchildren, Maya Bianchi and Rachel & Charlie Buchinsky. Memorial Mass is Saturday 10 AM at St John’s Church, Lakehurst with inurnment to follow at St Joseph’s Cemetery, Toms River.
