Shirley M. Prato, 83, of Jackson, died Monday, March 22, 2021 at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Born in Flatwoods, WV she grew up in Middle River, MD. Being part of a military family she lived in a variety of states and overseas before moving to Jackson in 1979. She worked for K-Mart for about 20 years transferring with each move before retiring in the early 1990’s. She is predeceased by her son, Mike Prato. She is survived by her husband, James R. Prato of 67 years, daughters, Pam (Dave) Stemerick, Bobbi Prato, brother, Robert Hopkins, sister, Janice Hooper, 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Cremation was private.
