Sheldon Boxer died suddenly Sunday, May 15, 2022, at home. Born in Manhattan, he resided in Manahawkin before moving to Toms River 18 years ago. He worked in education for 48 years before retiring in 2011 as a school administrator in the Oak Street School. He was an avid Jets fan and a hot dog aficionado. As much as he loved the holidays, he celebrated life every day. He brought joy and laughter to everyone around him. He was a kind, compassionate, generous, loving husband and father. He enjoyed reading his newspapers and watching English mysteries.
Surviving is wife of 35 years Sylvia, stepsons Michael Rifkin, and Anthony Rifkin and his wife Angela. Visitation will be Friday May 20, 2022 at 2pm-4pm & 7pm-9pm with family speaking at 8pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
