On Saturday, December 5, 2020, Bonnie (Ruth) Welch, loving wife of 33 years and mother of two daughters, unexpectedly passed away at the age of 76. Bonnie was born on July 15, 1944, in Elizabeth, NJ. She was a graduate of Keyport High School. On April 25,1964, she married William T. Welch; they raised two daughters, Bonnie Anne and Denise. Bonnie had a passion for family spending most of her time with daughter Denise whether just together or on a modern day “Lucy and Ethel” escapade. Bonnie spent many summers in North Carolina with her granddaughter, Bryanne, where they would swim, and play board games. Bonnie had many TV shows and movies she would watch and critique with grandson David calling all the award shows her “Super Bowl”. She had an insatiable love for weddings and wedding dresses most recently her grand daughter Kacie’s. She made all her grandchildren and great grandson’s Halloween costumes; they fancied her a grand tailor. Bonnie was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Hyer, and her mother, Ruth; her husband, William, and daughter, Bonnie Anne. Bonnie was a selfless woman putting everyone before herself and her loss will be forever devastating to all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter Denise Mandella and son in law Dave, her brother Clarence Hyer and his wife Nina, granddaughter Bryanne Davis and her husband Ray, grandson David Mandella and his fiancé Chandler, granddaughter Kacie Ridgeway and her husband Mike, and her great grandson Benjamin Davis, and Many loving nieces, and nephews, and extended family, along with three life-long friends and confidants: Diana, Barbara, and Carol. Due to the present circumstances the family will have a service and direct burial at Fairview Cemetery, Middletown, NJ on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 10AM. Family and friends are welcome to attend; please wear a mask and practice social distancing. In lieu of sending flowers now, the family is requesting donations be sent to them.
