Phyllis M Rooney 89 of Manchester died Tuesday April 13, 2021 with family at her side at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Jersey City she resided in Union Beach for 40 years before moving to the leisure Knoll community in Manchester in 1993. She also loved to go out to eat, enjoyed dancing and very much took much pleasure in going to Atlantic City. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends every week and was a member of the ceramics club. She has an extensive doll collection which far exceeds over 100 dolls. She is predeceased by her parents, Frank & Mildred Stefano, her husband Kenneth Rooney, her brothers Frank and Chris and sister Florence Budnick. Surviving is her cherished cat “Henry” her sisters-in-law Joan Stefano, Patricia Stefano and her numerous nephews and nieces. Visitation is Sunday 3-7 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Funeral Liturgy is Monday 10 AM at St John’s Church, Lakehurst with interment to follow at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet.
