John J. Lowden, Sr., 64, of Myrtle Beach, SC, died Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Roper St. Francis Hospital, Charleston, SC. Born in Newark, NJ, he had lived in Brick from 1976-2008 before moving to Myrtle Beach. He was an assembly line worker for General Motors in Linden for 30 years before retiring in 2006. He served as President of the Homeowner’s Association in South Carolina. He enjoyed sports, especially the NY Mets & Giants; NASCAR, especially, Dale Earnhardt; and enjoyed watching tv, especially Gold Rush & Jersey Shore. John was predeceased by his parents, Thomas & Agnes Lowden. He is survived by his son, John J. Lowden Jr. & his wife, Renee; daughters: Jennifer Lowden & Jessica Bergin; step-daughter, Ashley Buselea; stepson, Jaime Lowden; brothers: William, Thomas, & Edward Lowden; and his grandchildren: Jenna Lee Wroblewski, Jianna Wroblewski, Justin Lowden, Brendan Bergin, & Carson Conrad. Visitation is Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester, with a prayer service at 8 pm. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Red Cross New Jersey Region, 707 Alexander Road, Ste 101, Princeton, NJ 08540.
