Dolores L. Hartley, 88, of Jackson, died Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Bartley Healthcare, Jackson, NJ. Born in Fairmont, WV, she lived in Cliffwood Beach, Jackson, East Brunswick, and in Whiting for the years prior to moving to Bartley Healthcare 1 1/2 years ago. Dolores is predeceased by her loving, soul mate husband, John P. Hartley, who died in 2005; two brothers, Guy Barrett Jr. and Howard Barrett. Surviving are two sons and a daughter in law, John P. Jr. and Barbara Hartley of Jackson; Ronald D. Hartley, of Jackson; a daughter and son in law, Linda and Dan Della Serra of Manchester; a sister, Marcia and her husband, Wade Chambers of Lowellville, Ohio.
She is survived by grandchildren whom she adored, Colby and his wife, Maria Richards of New Port Richey, Fl; Sean and his wife, Catherine Richards of Jackson; Blake Hartley of Ewing, NJ; and Kelly Hartley and fiance, John Paul Roesler of New London, Ct; and four great-grandchildren that she was so proud of, Dylan and Dean Richards, Fl; and Camryn and Dexter Richards, NJ; and many beloved nieces and nephews, especially Brenda and Bill Baker, Md. Among her life long supportive and loving friends were Nancy Kalieta and family, whom she loved like her second daughter, and Gail Post, one of her best girlfriends. Dolores was happiest when surrounded by family and friends.
Dolores was always active in her church, first Bayview Presbyterian Church, Cliffwood Beach, NJ; then Trinity Presbyterian Church, E. Brunswick, where she served as Deacon.
Due to CDC guidelines, a private visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 from 2-4 pm at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester with a service beginning at 3:30 pm. Private interment will take place at the Brigadier Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
