Sorin Davidescu 72 of Jackson, NJ died Saturday, May 2, 2020 at the Jewish Home for Rehabilitation & Nursing, Freehold. Born in Bucharest, Romania he lived in Kendall Park, West Windsor and Manchester before moving to Jackson last year. Before his retirement Sorin was employed for many years as a Chemical Engineer, Production & Purchasing Manager, most recently with the Rhodia Company, Cranbury, He was an avid writer, poet and storyteller who possessed a great sense of humor. He was a devoted friend to many. He also enjoyed traveling, stamp collecting, and international music from France, Italy and his home country of Romania. He is predeceased by his mother, Irina Herdan Davidescu. Surviving are his 2 sons, Michael of Oregon and Gordon and his wife, Elizabeth of Kew Gardens, NY. Also surviving is his first wife, Reghina Davidescu, ex-wife, Judith Mayer of Manchester, a cousin, Adrian Cogan of Hawaii and two grandchildren, Chaim and Malka. Burial is private at the Beth Israel Memorial Park, Woodbridge.
