Rosemarie Zurlo began her new year in heaven. She passed from this earth on January 5, 2021 at the age of 82.
She was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 1st, 1938. She was the second child of Albert and Maria Beatrice. She is preceded in death by her parents, her stepmother Caroline and 2 of her siblings Steve Beatrice and Clair Byrnes. She is survived by her brother Dominick Beatrice and sister Marie LoMonaco.
Rosemarie leaves behind her husband of 61 years Arthur Zurlo. She was the mother to Jennieann Cinco, her husband Anthony and Mary Bueti, her husband Frank. She was grandmother to Anthony Bueti and his wife Kelly and Victoria Petruzzullo and her husband Kyle and several foster children of the Cinco’s . She was great-grandma to Roman and 2 more baby boys on the way.
Rosemarie grew up on 19th St in Brooklyn. Rosemarie met her husband Arthur at a church dance. They were married soon after. She enjoyed being a homemaker to her family. She was always creative and expressed her talent through sewing, cooking and dancing. Arthur and Rosemarie were always a handsome couple as they Cha Cha-ed at many of the large extended family gatherings they shared.
Rosemarie began her prestigious career as a make-up artist in 1972. She did make-up in boutiques and then worked at the cosmetics counter at Macy’s. Such a humble start for a world-renowned make-up artist. Her career in movies and television lasted 30+ years. You can view a short list of the movies she worked on at “Imdb.com”, search her professional name Rosemary Zurlo. Her last location project was 4 years ago in Mexico. There was no stopping her, she loved her work. She was a respected, sort after makeup artist, which brought her to many places in the world.
As she grew older, her health began to limit her physically. But that didn’t stop her. She shared her skills, love and opinions with everyone she was with. She will be remembered as the cool mother; she was stylish and glamorous. Rosemarie was always ahead of her time!
Thank you, Wife/Mom/Grandma/Great Grandma/ Friend, for your life, love and encouragement. You will truly be miss!
Entombment is Friday 1pm at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Toms River.
