Rose Bonfante 96 of Neptune died Sunday October 29, 2023 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in New York City and raised in Brooklyn, she moved to Neptune, NJ in 1953 to start a family. Rosie was loved everywhere she went. She enjoyed many activities including cards bingo and Rummikub. She was always quick with a joke, a smile, a funny face and a good laugh. She could spend all day being surrounded by friends and family, reminiscing of the past and creating new memories. Rose never met a chocolate she didn't like. She is predeceased by her husband Rosario Bonfante in 2002, and her sons, Gary & Michael Bonfante. Surviving is her son, Steven Bonfante & wife Rae, grandchildren, Nicole Lowry & husband Jared, Melissa Shilale and husband Jon. Daughter-in-law, Annette Bonfante and granddaughter, Cecilia Bonfante. Granddaughter, Maria Gallagher and great granddaughter, Gianna Gallagher. Interment with 1 pm services at Brigadier Gen Wm C Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the St Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
