Robert E. Atkins, 72, of Manahawkin, died Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born and raised in Brooklyn, he has been residing in Manahawkin for the last 44 years. He had worked for Paint Master in Toms River for 27 years before working for himself as a shoe cobbler in Toms River for 12 years. He enjoyed woodworking and loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Diane Atkins; daughter, Jennifer & husband, Greg Gale; brothers: William, Thomas, & Alfred Atkins; and sister, Loretta Cooper. Visitation is private. Private interment will take place at St Mary Cemetery, Manahawkin. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, Ste 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
