Phillip R Patton died Sunday February 2 at Veterans Memorial Home in Paramus, NJ. Born in Union, he grew up in Newark, and raised his children in East Brunswick. He moved to Manchester in 2002. He served in the Navy Reserves and the United States Marine Corp. Prior to his retirement, he was Vice President and General Manager for Plastics Color Corp. in Somerset, NJ. A resident of Renaissance, Manchester, he liked to play golf and tennis. His main love, however, was boating and sailing. Surviving is his wife Ellen Patton, sons Phillip & Karen Patton of Saddle River, Craig & Colleen Patton of Moorestown, and daughter Patricia Patton & Dan Tornambe of Rumson, 5 grandchildren, Ryan, Allie, Kyle, Tyler, Sarah, and 3 step-grandchildren, Christian, Derek, and Brandon. Memorial Gathering is Wednesday 11-1 PM with a Memorial Service at 12:30 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester. A private burial at sea will take place at a later date.
