Obituary for Peter P Pianelli

Peter P. Pianelli 83 of Manchester died April 4, 2020. Born in Brooklyn, NY he resided in Staten Island for 36 years before moving to Manchester in 2004. He owned & operated S&S Pianelli Service Station in Brooklyn before retiring. He was an avid NY Mets & Giants fan. He enjoyed golfing and bowling and was a member of the Staten Island Club & the Bergen & Essex Club. He was a parishioner of St Luke’s Church, Toms River. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Rosanna (Clare), sons, John & his wife Cathy, Peter & his wife Mary Ellen, Christopher & his wife Sylvia, daughter, Roseanne Donohue & her husband Thomas, a sister, Joan Ferriolo and 6 grandchildren, Erin, Philip, Abigail, Christopher, Maria and Julia and 2 great grandchildren, Paul & Sam. Visitation & service will be held at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Rd, Manchester with entombment to follow at St Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or to Shriner’s Hospital for Children 2900 N. Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607.

In Loving memory of Uncle Pete

I have very fond memories of growing up celebrating life together, enjoying great meals during holidays and having many laughs, summer barbecues, July 4th fireworks, going on long road trips to the Allen A ranch and Cooperstown, NY (Uncle Pete had a lot more patience than my Dad on those road trips), watching and playing sports, Sunday's at Gramdma and Grandpa's going to the park to play basketball, playing hit the penny with Uncle Frank in front of the house and playing off the wall in Granpa's backyard (we sent Peter to get the ball in Grandpa's tomato plants in the garden !). It has been a long time since we all have spent time together in person, but all the beautiful times and laughs are burned in my memory forever ! It is truely a gift and a blessing that we had a very strong foundation and a lot of love growing up. I will never forget ! My sincere and deepest condolences to Aunt Rosie, John, Peter, Chris, Roseanne and all the families of my cousins. Rest in Peace Uncle Pete
