Michael A Garzone 93 of Manchester died Sunday May 16, 2021 at home. Born in Newark he resided there before moving to Manchester in 1991. He served as a Private First Class in the US Army until discharge in 1947. He owned and operated Mountainside Shoe & Luggage retail store for 40 years before retiring in 1993. He was an avid bowler and sports fan, 4th Degree member of Knights of Columbus, member and past president of the Italian American Club, Veteran’s Club, and Cookie Jar all of Leisure Knoll. He is predeceased by sisters, Mary, Jenny and Josephine Garzone. Surviving is his wife of 68 years Marie, sons, John & wife, Susan, Michael, and Mark Garzone and 10 grandchildren: Christina, J. Michael, Leah, Gabrielle, Courtney, Robert, Laura, Conner, Kasey, and Nicolas. Visitation is Monday 9:00-9:30 AM at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Road with funeral mass at 10 AM at St John’s Church Lakehurst. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.
