Michael J Bonfante, 65, of Lakewood, died suddenly Friday, January 22, 2021 in Bayville. He was born, raised & resided in Neptune prior to moving to Lakewood last year. He was a salesman for Meridian Environmental Services in Toms River. He was a member of the Amerigo Vespucci Society, and a volunteer for the First Responders Neptune Office of Emergency Management for 15 years. Michael loved his family, and enjoyed movies, politics, game shows, telling jokes, making people laugh, being outdoors, the beach & loved animals. Was known to occasionally feed stray cats, and was a great cook. He was predeceased by his father, Rosario Bonfante, and brother, Gary Bonfante. He is survived by his daughter, Maria Gallagher & her husband Christopher; mother, Rose Bonfante; brother, Steven Bonfante; and granddaughter, Gianna Gallagher, and long-time girlfriend Margee Hill. Visitation is Wednesday 4-8 PM with a 7 pm service at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester.
