Mauro A Iacovello 93 of Manchester died at home on Monday August 15, 2022. Born in Bronx, NY he resided in Jericho, Long Island for over 30 years before moving to Manchester in 2003. He served in the Army as a Corporal during the Korean War from 1950-1952. He played baseball as an outfielder for the Atlanta Braves before and after the war and for the army while serving. He enjoyed golfing and socializing, being active in the gym and visiting Harrah’s Casino. He is predeceased by his siblings, Anthony and Lena. Surviving is his wife, Ann L Iacovello and nieces, Nina Sammons & husband David and Gerelin & her husband Joseph. Visitation is Thursday 4-8 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Funeral Liturgy is Friday 9:15 AM at St Luke Church, Toms River with interment to follow at Mount St Mary Cemetery, Queens.
