If you asked a hundred people who Maria Laporta Flesta was, you would get a hundred different responses. A Mother. A Wife. A Friend. A Grandmother. A QVC fan. But to Maria and her loved ones, her biggest role was that of a family woman, Mother, and much-adored Nanny.

Born in Jersey City, NJ on July 27, 1950, Maria raised her family to be strong people, both children who have careers in serving the community. Throughout her life, Maria loved spending time with her grandchildren, reading books, going to the clubhouse pool and playing pickleball or at least watching. She spent a large amount of time running a local deli in Jersey City and being a daily spot for many friends to visit and socialize.

Maria was always there to help her friends and family with household projects, looking after her grandchildren so their parents could relax, or anything else people needed her for. Maria is survived by her husband, John Flesta, son Shawn Kavanagh & wife Stacey, daughter Lisa Kavanagh Agnew & husband Edward, nephew Anthony Laporta and wife Elizabeth, brother Domenick Laporta and her loving grandchildren Kathryn, David, Matthew, Anthony and Luke. Maria was a loving Mother, Wife Nanny and friend to everyone.
