Margaret I. Walker, lovingly known as “Peggy”, 75, of Whiting, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Southern Ocean Medical Center, Manahawkin. Born in Waterbury, CT she resided in Lakehurst, NJ from 1983-1988 and moved to Whiting in 1989. She was the Buyer for the Ocean County Road Department for 20 years before retiring in 2006. She was a truly amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed gaming, sports and was an avid Eagles fan. She also enjoyed watching Nascar, and her favorite drivers were Tony Stewart and Kyle Busch. She was also an animal lover, and her best friend was her English Bull Dog/Pug, Ginger. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, George “Scott”, and her three children, Edward S. Walker and his wife Sherida, Shannon Rodriguez & husband Charles, and Michael J. Walker; siblings: Douglas J. Humphrey and his wife Patti, Susan Marie Woerner, and Robin Cunningham and her husband John; Grandchildren Erica Walker and Sherry Sanders and great grandchildren, Jordan, Destinee, Patience and David. Visitation is Monday, February 14, 2022, from 4-8 PM with a 7 pm service at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Rd, Manchester.
