Linda S. Thoden 81 of Manchester died Saturday, November 23, at Community Medical center, Toms River. Born in Kansas City, MO, she lived in Linden and Toms River before moving to Manchester in 2001. She was employed for 40 years as a Buyer for Twin County Grocers, Edison before retiring in 2006. She loved traveling, especially to Italy and spending time with friends. She also enjoyed cooking and baking her Christmas cookies. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased a brother, Terry J. Elliott, who died in 2016. Surviving is her daughter Corinne Felz of Manchester, a son and daughter in law, Michael and Melissa Thoden of Elmer, a brother, Jack Elliott of Huntington Beach, CA, a step-father, Joseph Sorbera of Surf City, 4 grandchildren, Jessica Thoden-Stevenson, Mark Felz, Melissa and Billy Thoden, and 3 great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Elijah, and Ezra. Memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, December 21, from 1-3pm at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
