Obituary for Kenneth Jelnicki

Kenneth Jelnicki, died Saturday, February 6, 2021 at his home in Manchester. Born in Lakewood he spent his life in Jackson before moving to Manchester in 2020. He was a construction worker for many years at Silver Mead in Freehold and retired in 2020. Kenneth had a love of fishing and motorcycles. He loved his family friends and faith above all. He is predeceased by his son, Kenneth Jelnicki Jr in 2014. He is survived by his girlfriend Cynthia, his son and daughter-in-law, Brian & Melissa Jelnicki, brother; Walter and sister-in-law Allyson, sisters; Elaine, Peg, grandchildren; Adrionna, Vincent, Dominic, Mia, Brianna and Ava. A Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday, 6 – 8 PM with a 7 PM Service at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Rd, Manchester. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Samaritan's Purse PO Box 3000 Boone, NC 28607.

Kenny, my earliest memories, and some of my greatest memories, of my life, were spent, at your house. I would sleep in the bedroom off the kitchen, when I was little, and you and Walt, would bring the cat in to sleep with me. You would bring your bikes in the house and chase after me until I jumped on the sofa. You and Walt would let me sit next to you, as you shot down the bats with your BB guns. I loved coming to your house, to be with the whole big happy family. I'm so glad I had you in my life, and your wonderful siblings, parents, cousins and the whole gang. If I could go back for one more day. I would. Rest in peace my friend. See you in heaven. May the soul of the faithfully departed through the mercy of God rest in peace, and may that holy soul pray for us!

You and Walt were not my uncle's, you've always been "the boys", my brother's by my grandmother because you are only 5 yrs older than me. I have so many memories like clearing out the woods across the street that had a great sledding hill, writing on the sidewalk with airplane model glue and lighting it on fire, taking my brownie beanie, spraying air freshener on it telling me you peed on it and throwing it up on a tree. I cried, Nana tried not to laugh when she scolded both of you. She told me you guys picked on me because you lived me. I also remember the junk cars that you brought over to our house and drove recklessly down the pit road. No helmets, no seatbelts being tossed around in the backseats. Omg great memories.
