John Fletcher, 87, of Manchester, died May 4, 2020, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in North Bergen, he had resided in New Port Richey, FL before moving to Manchester in 2011. He was a purchasing agent director for Chanel Inc. in Piscataway before retiring. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War. A graduate of Seton Hall University, he enjoyed gardening, tinkering, and was a member of the Leisure Knoll Association & Architectural Committee. He was predeceased by his wife, Georgette P. Fletcher, in 2018. He is survived by his son, John J. Fletcher & his wife, Meg; daughters: Lorianne & husband, Nick Gedo, and Lisa & husband, John Beale; brother, Donald Fletcher; 7 grandchildren: John III, Kelly (Adam), Iuliana (Eric), Sarah (Chris), Kimberly Ann (Christopher), Courtney, & John IV; and great grandchildren: Kailyn, Aiden, Elliot, James Thomas, & Lucy. Cremation services are private. A Memorial Gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Autism Speaks, 1 East 33rd Street, 4th Fl., New York, NY 10016.
