Jean E. Fedos, 88, of Leisure Village West in Manchester, NJ, died Sunday, June 19, 2022, surrounded by her family, at United Methodist Communities, Pitman, NJ. She was the wife of Stephen F Fedos, with whom she shared 43 years of marriage. Born in Hoboken, NJ, and raised in Secaucus, NJ, Jean was the daughter of Rudy and Edna Eger. “Jeannie” graduated from Weehawken High School in 1951. Entering County College of Morris, Randolph, NJ, later in life, she was proud to earn an Associate Degree in 1984. Moving to Cranberry Lake, NJ, with her young family in 1969, she later relocated to Parsippany NJ, upon her marriage to Steve in 1978. Jean first worked in the travel industry, then worked in the Finance Department at AAU until her retirement. Following her retirement in 1994, Jean and Steve selected Leisure Village West, Manchester, NJ as their new residence. Jean and Steve were world travelers, enjoying trips to England, Spain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Egypt, as well as many points of interest throughout the United States. Jean thoroughly enjoyed musical theatre, exposing her children to this passion at an early age, along with her love of music. She attended Broadway shows frequently. Jean was a faithful member of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Manchester and was an active volunteer in the parish. She exemplified her beliefs through countless instances of service and leadership in her communities. Her activities included serving as a Girl Scout troop leader, chairing and working at multiple events in the Cranberry Lake community, volunteering at her local hospitals, assisting at her local library with an adult literacy program, teaching adults to read, and serving as a “friendly visitor” for those who were homebound, entering hospice care. A loving wife, supportive mother, devoted grandmother, and loyal friend, Jean routinely shared small acts of kindness and caring with those in her life with a giving heart. Both challenges and successes were faced with a positive spirit, grace, and humor. Jean is survived by her husband Stephen, her children Kathy J. Verbel (Blake) and Harry P. Salotti, Jr (Rosemary); her grandchildren Erin K. Verbel, Ryan A. Verbel, Patrick James Grey (Gaetana), James Mazon Fedos; her great-grandchildren Kason G. Schreckengost, Margo R.
