Herbert W Worthington Jr 75 of Renaissance, Manchester died Tuesday April 26, 2022 at home. Born in Elizabeth he resided in Linden for many years before moving to Manchester in 2010. Herb was very involved with the Vietnam Veterans of America. Over the years he was President of VVA New Jersey State Council, President of LZ Hope, National Chair of the Agent Orange Committee, President of VVA Chapter 779 and Chair of the National Veterans Against Drugs Committee. Although he never truly retired, Herb was employed as Chief Service Officer for Vietnam Veterans of America in Newark for 7 years before retiring in 2008. Herb was a skilled commercial artist and earned his degree from Pratt Institute. He is predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Angela Worthington. Surviving is daughter, Karen Worthington, son, Michael and his wife, Virna Worthington, and their children Isabella and Zachary. Cremation is private. In lieu of flowers please make donations to VVANJ State Council c/o Carlton Rhodes, 559 W 9th Avenue, Roselle, NJ 07203 earmarked for the Service Officer Program.
