George La Bar Sr., 81, of Manchester, died Saturday, November 30, 2019 at home. Born in Paterson, he had lived in Elmwood Park before moving to Manchester in 2017. He worked as a roofer most of his life. He enjoyed lottery tickets, sharing his favorite candies, especially Milky Way, and loved spending time with family. He was predeceased by his wife, Anna Marie La Bar, in 2013; brother, James La Bar Jr.; and sisters: Louise Campagna, Grace Carbone, & Hazel Altieri. He is survived by his sons: George La Bar Jr. (Rosario), John Clowes (Yvonne), & Keith La Bar (Teresa); daughter, Darlene Grady (John); brother, Herbert La Bar; and 2 grandchildren: Hazel & Jessica La Bar. Cremation will be private. Oliverie Funeral Home, Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
