George Chenoweth 85 of Manchester died surrounded by his family, Monday January 20, 2020 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Liberty, NY he resided in Freehold for 34 years before moving to Manchester in 2003. He served in the Navy during the Korean War from 1952-1955. He worked as a Systems Analyst for over 30 years with Bell Systems in Piscataway. He was a member of the Renaissance golf course and Tennis Club. He enjoyed sports, reading, taking drives and his frequent visits to Atlantic City. He had a good sense of humor and was a kind gentle man who liked to help his neighbors and friends quietly. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Arlene A., 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Laura Chenoweth & John Marinozzi and Nancy Milhazes & Anthony, a brother, Bruce Chenoweth, a sister, Mary Bird and 5 grandchildren, Zachary, Nicholas, Matthew, Lisa and Alex and 1 great grandson, Henry. Memorial Gathering is Monday 10- 1PM with a 12:30 PM service at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester.
