George H Canberg 89 of Manchester died Sunday December 27, 2020 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Brooklyn, he resided in Baldwin, Long Island for 31 years before moving to Manchester 20 years ago. George was a New York City Fireman for 20 years before retiring in 1970. He was into carpentry and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #10022 in Leisure Knoll. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Margaret, children, George Canberg & his wife Barbara, Michael Canberg & his wife Patricia and Kevin Canberg & his wife Jean, Janice Rosenzweig and Nancy Canberg; a brother, Robert Canberg & his wife Helene and 13 grandchildren & 17 great grandchildren. Visitation is Wednesday 5-9 PM with a service at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Interment is Thursday 12:30 PM at Pine Lawn cemetery, Long Island, NY.
