Obituary for Florence R Firuta

Florence R Firuta 99 of Manchester died peacefully at home with family on Tuesday June 7, 2022. Born and raised in Newark she resided in Union from 1967-2003 and in Manchester for 18 years. She was very creative and liked to knit, crochet and do needle craft as well as read fictional novels. She was a member of the St Michael’s Church, Union and the Senior’s Club. She was a member of the Grandparent’s Club in Manchester and a parishioner of St Luke Church, Toms River. She had a great sense of humor and was a great Polish cook with her perogies and Chrusciki Cookies. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley in 1989; and son-in-law, Robert Pfarr. She was loved by her daughters, Regina M Pfarr and Patricia A O’Connell & her husband James. She cherished and admired her grandchildren, Brian (Michele), Michelle, Pamela (Kevin), Michael (Kristin), & Lauren (Matthew) and great grandchildren, Sarah, Alexander, Ryan, Madison, Luke, William, Michael and Richard, and her many nieces and nephews including, Walter (Eileen), Broni (Virginia), Linda, Madeline, Scott (Kathleen), Brad (Melissa), Evan and Helen. Visitation is Sunday 1-5 PM, June 26, 2022 at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Funeral Liturgy is 10:30 AM, Monday June 27, 2022 at St Luke Church, Toms River with entombment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.
