Erika Micholas 91, of Manchester, New Jersey died on Friday, July 15, 2022, at Hackensack Meridian Ocean University Medical Center. Born in Munich, Germany, she certainly had a guardian angel watching over her as the house she was living in with her mom was bombed during World War II on March 19 while she and others were in the house. Later moving to the United States of America she met her husband Sam and started their life in East Paterson now called Elmwood Park. In 1962 she moved to Wayne, New Jersey where she resided till 2003 where so many memories were made. Every Sunday she would cook a beautiful dinner for her family which later became a regular tradition that her family still remembers and talks about till this day. Erika loved her family and all the wonderful friends that she met in her life. Her family and friends meant everything to her. Erika loved gardening and shopping and her traveling to Germany and Aruba and her trips down to the Jersey shore. Erika was such an animal lover and loved all of her collies and shelties. She worked at State Farm Insurance as a switchboard operator/receptionist for 30 years and retired in 1998. She was pre-deceased by her husband Sam. She is survived by her daughter Linda Trapanese and Significant other, George Beley, a son Michael and Significant Other Crystal Dewey, 2 loving grandchildren Michael and wife Kathe and Michele and fiancée Brendan Bramley and 3 great grandchildren Michael Micholas Brendan and Jayce Bramley. A memorial mass will be announced at a later date at Saint Mary’s RC Church in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey.
