Elizabeth Rivera, 71, of Lakehurst was called home on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center. Born in New York, NY she moved to Lakewood in 1983 where she live until moving to Lakehurst in 2012. She was a Sales Manager at the bookstore in Georgian Court University, Lakewood for 10+ years. She was a graduate of School of Fashion Industries in New York and of O.C.C in New Jersey. She was a phenomenal Clothing Designer, Jewelry Designer, Mixed Media Artist, Photographer and Poet. Liz was a beautiful woman inside and out. She was always holding her hands out to help those who needed love, compassion, understanding and any help she could provide. She opened her doors to several people who needed a roof over their heads to find their way. She is unbelievably loved by those who were deemed lucky by God to have met her. She was a gift that shared her pure light with everyone around her. She is survived by her husband of over 40 years, Manuel J. Rivera, daughters, Miranda Ruperto, Ramaia Ruperto, son Manuel Rivera III, Her Mother, Zorida Rivera, Brothers, George Rivera, Frank Reeves, Robert Leon, sister, Cathy Kelly, and 4 grandchildren, Sage, Brandon, Sophia, Dominic. Memorial Gathering is Saturday April 23, 2022 at 10 AM at Georgian Court University, Lakewood.
