Obituary for Delice A Chibbaro

DeLice A Chibbaro, 85, of Manchester, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on Monday April 27, 2020 at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ. Born in Minot, North Dakota she resided in Edison and North Brunswick, NJ, as well as Woodstock, Georgia before moving to Leisure Village West in Manchester, NJ in 2002.
She retired in 1996 as a payroll bookkeeper for Edison Township’s Board of Education. She was a communicant of St John’s Church in Lakehurst, NJ, a member of St Matthew’s Choir in Edison, NJ, a Twig volunteer for St Peter’s Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ, and a Girl Scout Troop leader. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, ceramics, and was known for her apple pies. DeLice had a very strong faith in God and her greatest joys, she would say, were her husband, children, and grandchildren / great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her parents, Valdemor and Leonora Hovde; siblings, Dorcas Hovde, Maxine Forsman, Marge Hohenstein, and Paul Hovde. Surviving are her husband of 62 years, William; daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth Stevenson & Jay of Point Pleasant, NJ and Renee Fenlon & Steve of Woodstock, GA; her sister, Lorene Dailey; her four brothers, Ronald, David, Darrel, and Steven Hovde, along with their spouses; and 4 grandchildren, Noel, Jay & his wife Ali, Alexa and Paige, as well as three great grandchildren, Hunter, Ryder, and Reed.
Due to the pandemic, a private Live Stream viewing will be held at Oliverie Funeral Home in Manchester, NJ on Friday, May 1st from 9:30-11:30 AM with an 11:30 AM service at Oliverie Funeral Home. Private interment to follow at Brigadier General William C Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
A celebration of her life is April 24, 2021, Noon Mass at St John's Church, Lakehurst.
