Claude R. Hill of Cookstown N.J. age 81 passed away Tuesday April 19, 2022 at the VA Community Living Center in Philadelphia Pa. He was born June 28, 1940 in Danielsville Ga. to the late Elvis Woodie and Vinnie Elizabeth Hunsinger Hill.
Also was preceded in death by his brother Elvis Hill of Danielsville, Ga. and sisters Joyce Tiller Janes of Dallas, Ga. and Betty Ann Archer of Hull, Ga.

While serving in the Armed Forces and Civil Services for over 40 years his family resided in many places throughout his military career, until retiring and settling in Cookstown N.J. in the late 70’s. He loved working on cars and helping others. One of his most enjoyments was spending time with his wife working in their yard to their expectations. Claude was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at Base JB MDL. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather (Opa), great grandfather and friend that will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Erika M. Hill, a daughter Bettina Carson of Eastampton N.J., a son Michael C. Hill Sr. of Cookstown N.J., 4 sisters Marie Drake of Comer Ga., Lynda Hill of Mauldin SC., Brenda See and Sarah Hill of Danielsville Ga., 2 brothers Tommy Hill of Colbert Ga. and Stanley Hill of Ila Ga.
2 grandchildren, Michael C. Hill Jr. of Trevose Pa. and Ryan Carson of Westampton N.J., 2 great grandchildren, Damon & Savannah Carson.

Entombment is at St Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood and is being held privately at the convenience of the family. All arrangements are under the direction of Oliverie Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers please make donations in memory of Claude to St Francis of Assisi Catholic Community JBMDL Chapel 5240 NJ Av, Fort Dix, NJ 08640 or to the Shriners Hospital for Children 2900 N.
