Catherine Scott Tupper, 76 of Whiting passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 5, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, NJ. She was employed for 19 years as a Para Professional for the Lakewood School District before her retirement in 2014. She was a member of the NJEA. She attended St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Whiting. Cathy (a.k.a. Kate) was a proud alumna of the Chelsea section of Manhattan, NYC, where she was born and raised. She lived in Lakewood for 31 years before moving to Whiting in 2007. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Conrad Tupper, her son and daughter-in-law, Lance and Robin Tupper of Westfield, 2 of her 4 brothers, Robert Scott of Rocky Point, NY and William Scott and his wife Marguarite of Nixa, MO, and 3 grandchildren, Natalie, Scott and Kayla Tupper. She was predeceased by her brothers George and Edward Scott.Cathy was a devoted grandmother, generous with a smile and beloved by many. Her unselfishness and zest for life were an inspiration and will be sorely missed.
