Carlyn Ann Barr Treglia, 75, of Renaissance, Manchester, died on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Hackettstown, she spent several years raising her own family in beautiful Lake Tranquility. She then lived in Fair Lawn for 30 years before moving to Manchester almost 9 years ago. Carlyn began her career in the retail industry as a sporting goods buyer. She quickly advanced to become Vice President of sales with RGA in NYC, an importer and distributor of leather goods and accessories. She then retired for a short period of time to help take care of her grandchildren. Carlyn soon realized she wasn't ready to give up her business career after being approached by management of Babies R Us to be the national coordinator and event planner for the company. She held this position for nearly 10 years before finally retiring in 2010. In 1979 Carlyn met her partner in crime, John Treglia. They enjoyed many years of golf, traveling and performing. Carlyn was a long time member of Sweet Adelines International, and a board member of Renaissance Performing Arts Club. Another pastime she enjoyed was researching her family's ancestry as far back as 1724, discovering that she was part of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Carlyn will always be remembered for her kindness, her smile and her love of family. Carlyn was predeceased by her brother, Jack Bellis. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, John Treglia; daughters Cheryl Tirri (Anthony) and Colleen Stephens (Matt); stepson Enrico Treglia (Rita); stepdaughter Dena Chelednik (Joe); and grandchildren Nicole, Alyssa, Jessica, McKenna, Michael, Nicolas, Tessa, Derek, Dillon, Jesse and Jacqueline. Visitation is Sunday, 1-4 & 7-9pm at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester. Funeral Service is Monday, 10am at Christ Lutheran Church, 40 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Liver Foundation, 39 Broadway, Ste 2700, New York, NY 10006.
