Bernard J McDonnell 75 of Manchester died November 30, 2019 at Hampton Ridge LTC Center, Toms River. He was born, raised and resided in Brooklyn, NY for most of his life and then Middletown for 7 years before moving to Manchester 16 years ago. He served in the Army from 1967-1971. He worked as a stockbroker for over 30 years and retired from UBS in New York City in 2001 after 20 years. He enjoyed playing softball and bowling and later golf with the Renaissance Golf Club. He was an avid Mets and Jets fan and a voracious reader. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Patricia (Murray), children, Brian McDonnell and Patricia O’Hara & husband Tom, siblings, Philip J McDonnell Jr, Rose Ellen Maiello and Bridget Hallinan and 2 grandchildren, Logan and Addison McDonnell. Visitation is Tuesday 7-9 PM and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Funeral Liturgy is Thursday 10 AM at St John’s Church Lakehurst with interment to follow at St Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River.
