Obituary for Barbara J Cera

Barbara J Cera, 69, of Jackson died Wednesday July 20, 2022 at home. Born in Somerset she resided in Cream Ridge from 1987-2016 and then moved to Jackson. An Interior Designer by trade, she also performed home renovations. She was very creative & artistic. She enjoyed dancing and was voted Best Dancer in high school. She always had great taste in fashion. She was an outstanding homemaker and Mom, including being a former Girl Scout Troop Leader. She was selfless, loyal, genuine, strong, kind, generous, loving, and caring. She was unwavering in her faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and prayed continuously for others. She is predeceased by her son Ryan. Surviving are her 2 sons, Nicholas A Cera, Eric A Cera & wife Erika, daughter Rachel & husband Jamie and 3 grandchildren, Logan, Bayla & Priscilla and her former spouse Donald V Cera. Memorial Mass is Friday 11 AM at St Joseph’s Church, Millstone. Repass Luncheon to follow after mass 12 PM at Albivi’s Restaurant, 866 Perrineville Road, Millstone, NJ 08535 at 12 noon.

I was blessed to call Barbara my friend for 11 years . It wasn’t enough time . She was one of the most wonderful people that I have had the pleasure of knowing in my lifetime . She loved and was devoted to her children and grandchildren . They were her greatest blessings and her whole world. She loved dancing and I have wonderful memories of so many fun times where she was always smiling . She could make having dinner fun . She was a great listener and a wonderful friend . There is surely one more angel in heaven now . I know she will Rest In Peace because her faith was so strong .

Barbara was a beautiful, kind and loving woman! I met her 5 years ago when she moved to Westlake and we clicked immediately! We were new grandma's and loved talking about our babies. Barbara loved to dance and love 70's music. She was an amazing Bocce player! Barbara was a so stylish and always dressed to the 9's! Barbara loved reading by the pool in the summer. We shared many Cosmos together and we talked almost everyday. I will miss her beautiful smile and her gentle nature! Her faith in Jesus was unwavering even when she felt terrible, she never gave up on Our Lord and prayer! I will miss her very much as she was such a big part of my life! Rest In Peace my Barbie Doll! My Aunt Barbara was loving, caring, giving, and always fun to be with. I will always remember the fun times had at family gatherings, going out with her and Rachel dancing nights away, and most of all I will never ever forget how she helped and cared for my mom (her sister Linda) especially during the last years of her life. Aunt Barb was truly there for me when I needed her most, and her faith in Jesus Christ and the power of prayer, helped me through many times of my life.
