Obituary for Arthur A "Big Art" Cronk Sr.

Arthur A Cronk Sr “Big Art” 69 of Toms River died at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was born, raised & resided in Elizabeth for most of his life before moving to Toms River in 1989. He retired in 1995 after many years as the Construction & Hazardous Waste Removal Union Local #394/1030 President in Elizabeth. After retiring from the Union local his passion for golf led him to work in his later years at, the Metedeconk National Golf Club, Manasquan Country Club, Pine Barrens Golf Course, Bella Vista County Club and most recently Concordia Golf Club leaving Linda a golf widow. You never saw him without a good rich cigar in his mouth even when he was out plowing the snow. His love for his family was always present in smile and he was a great story teller, especially about anything to do with bathrooms that would make you end up in diapers. He was born on a Sunday and the truest the statement is the child that’s born on a Sunday is Bonny and Blythe, good and gay. And that surely was what “Big Art” was all about. Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Linda A Cronk, sons & daughters-in-law, Arthur A Cronk Jr & Nicole and James Cronk & Diana, brother, Michael Cronk, Aunt Josephine Duenas, 3 grandchildren, Phoebe, Cecelia & Dante, and many first cousins, brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many beloved co-workers and friends. Services were private. Please make donations to any one of these 3 great local organizations we support.
