Obituary for Arlene L Kearney

Arlene Loffredo Kearney
1943 – 2022
A Tribute…

Arlene Kearney, better known as Queen Arlene, lost the war with cancer that she fought with superhuman strength and courage. She was surrounded by the people she loved most at the age of 79. Those who were honored to have Arlene in their orbit will honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Arlene was born in Newark, NJ to Jean and Joseph Loffredo. She attended Clifford Scott high school in the city of East Orange. She had a long and diverse career in the fashion and beauty industry including modeling and professional makeup artistry, ultimately culminating her dream job as a beauty ambassador for Chanel from which she retired.

Arlene raised her family in Colts Neck, NJ with her husband, Pete, who predeceases her. She moved to the Renaissance community in Manchester, NJ nearly 20 years ago and made many friends. She was a participant in a series of social activities including the wine club, the performing arts club, the Aqua Babes, and her favorite – the Red Hat Society. Most of all, Arlene loved to laugh. The sound of her laugh was unmistakable and could be identified from several rooms away in a crowded venue.

She is survived by a brother, Ralph two daughters Alison and Jennifer, a son in law Jack, and her beloved grandson Shane. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, & many dear friends who rallied and cheered for Arlene daily.

Visitation is Wednesday, 3-6 pm at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
