Anne M McGovern 86 of Toms River died peacefully Sunday May 1, 2022 at Ocean University Medical Center, Brick. Born in Asbury Park, she grew up in Maplewood, she resided in Bedminster also spending time in FL in the winters for many years, before moving to Lake Ridge community in Toms River in 2012. She worked for Bell Atlantic in Freehold for 18 years before retiring in 1989 as manager. She was a member of the Bocce Ball, Women’s & Bowling Clubs. She also enjoy the occasional trip the casinos. She enjoyed everything Greek and traveled to Greece, Canada, Turkey & Spain. She is predeceased by her husband Philip C Jr in 2018 and her brothers, Harry Nickas, Rev Jack Nickas and Sister Virginia Kuhn. Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Tim Nickas, Vincent Kuhn Sr. Richard Kuhn, Kathleen Gallagher, Maureen Rodriguez, Tom Kuhn, Jim Kuhn, John Kuhn, Ann Kuhn and Joan Corigliano. Visitation is Monday 5-7 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Funeral Liturgy is Tuesday 10:30 AM at St Luke’s Church, Toms River with interment to follow at St Mary of the lake Cemetery, Lakewood.
