Aida P Gross 84 of Toms River died Sunday January 31, 2021 at Monmouth Medical Center, Lakewood. She was Born in Brooklyn to Amedeo D’Adamo Sr and Mary D’Adamo / Presuto. She was raised in North Plainfield and was a graduate of North Plainfield High School. After high school she received an Associate’s Degree from Rutgers University. She lived in North Plainfield for most of her life where she was married to her first husband Walter J Gross and raised both of her children before moving to Toms River 21 years ago. She retired from Bell Labs / Lucent Technology in Murray Hill as a Supervisor where she worked for over twenty years. She was a member of the Duplicate Bridge Club at Lake Ridge and volunteered for Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus’ Lots for Little in Lakewood. She had made many good friends throughout her life and after moving to Lake Ridge she made many more. She always would have a smile on her face and was always willing to do whatever she could to help out where she was needed. She is predeceased by her husbands, Walter J Gross who passed in 1980, John W Eimess who passed in 2009, and her beloved sister Anne Ianonne who passed in 2019. Surviving are her children, Matthew Gross & his wife Wendy and a daughter Erica Slowey, brother, Amedeo D’Adamo Jr, sister, Rose Marie Scarpellino, grandchildren, Terrence Slowey & Briannin Gross as well as her God daughter and niece Lisa Geist. She is also survived by her nephews Ralph Scarpellino, and Amedeo D’Adamo III, nieces, Gillian Zeldin, Heather D’Adamo Small, Kimberly D’Adamo Green. Visitation is Saturday 1-4 PM with a 3 pm service at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Road Manchester. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Monmouth Medical Center South Lots for Little 1328 River Ave, Lakewood, NJ 08701 or Holy Redeemer Lifecare 1228 route 37 west Toms River, NJ 08755.
