Richard W Thamsen, 81, died Saturday, January 2, 2021 at his home in Lakewood. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Basking Ridge, then Saugerties, NY before moving to Lakewood 26 years ago. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Lycoming College, PA. He was a Financial Advisor for Fidelity Bank in Brick before retiring in 1995. He volunteered at the Lakewood Library and for the Animal Rescue Group. He is predeceased by his longtime companion, Ann Kinghorn, with whom he spent many years traveling. Surviving are his daughters, Jill Murphy & her husband James and Jennifer MacPherson & her husband Mac, brother, Robert Thamsen, sister, Janet Noller and 2 grandchildren, Madison and McKayla Murphy.
