Ernest “Ernie” Cioffero 80 of Manchester died Tuesday April 6, 2021 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Born in New York, NY he resided in North Edison and Little Ferry before moving to Manchester in 2002. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as Manager of Facilities at American Airlines at Newark Airport for 28 years before retiring in 1995. He was a member of the American Legion Post #502 in Whiting. He is predeceased by his first wife Jacqueline Cioffero in 1984, brother, Jerry Cioffero in 2004 and sister, Jeanne Ryan in 2019. Surviving is his wife of 35 years Susan Cioffero, sons and their wives, Christopher Cioffero, Gary & Jane, Mark & Melanie, and David & Loriann De Giacomo, daughter, Tracey Cioffero, brother-in-law, James Ryan, 7 grandchildren, Ryan, Andrew, John, Tyler, Daniel, Chelsea, Jake and 7 great grandchildren, Landon, Nolan, Anthony, Mason, Aria, Alana, Tygus and many nieces and nephews. Graveside Service is Monday1:30 PM at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington with interment to follow.
