Anthony D Corona 81 of Manchester died Wednesday February 3rd at Shore Meadows Nursing Home, Toms River. He worked for Sears Roebuck & Co for 28 years, twenty three in Bayonne and Five in Staten Island before retiring in 1990. Born in Bayonne, he resided there for most of his life before moving to Manchester eleven years ago He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 10022, Italian American Club and the Organ Club all of Leisure Knoll and loved to play pool with his buddies. He loved to perform with the Footlighters Club and his love for music especially Frank Sinatra and Big Bands will live on in his grandsons. He is predeceased by his sisters, Rose Frushon, and Lillie & Angela Corona. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Josephine Iannaci, three daughters and son-in-laws, Rita & Danny Ferrante of Newtown, PA, Rosalee & John Gurbisz of Bayonne, and Fran & Darryl Brebner of Toms River, brother, Frank D’Antoni of Freehold and sister Terry Barbito of Manahawkin, six grandchildren, Danielle, Christopher, John Anthony, Zachary, Nicholas and Leigh Anna and great grandson Collin James. Visitation is Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Funeral Liturgy is Saturday 10 AM at St John’s Church, Lakehurst with entombment to follow at St Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood.
