Name: Maria Stella Tiralosi Date: November 6th, 1913 - December 22nd, 2009 Obituary: Maria Stella Tiralosi 96 of Manchester died Tuesday December 22nd at Kensington Manor Nursing Home, Toms River. She worked as a sewing machine operator for 15 years before retiring in 1969 for The Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union of New York City. Born in New York City, she lived in Sicily for 33 years, returned to Manhattan in 1953, resided in Brooklyn and then Palisades Park before moving to Manchester 8 years ago. She was a Charter Member of the Great Parents Club in Renaissance. She is predeceased by her husband Francesco in 1992. Surviving are her three daughters, Mary Palazzo and Salvina “Sylvia” Tannenholz both of Manchester, Tina Cotrone of Brooklyn, NY and sister, Giovanna Iacobello of Brooklyn, NY and five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Visitation is Saturday and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Graveside services are Monday 11 AM at Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee.
