Obituary for Alfred A Bruzzese

Alfred A Bruzzese 88 of Renaissance, Manchester died Saturday April 24, 2021 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Brooklyn, he resided there before moving to Manchester in 2002. He served in the Army during the Korean War from 1953-1955. He worked as a motorman at New York City Transit Authority for 21 years before retiring in 1989. He was a member of Knights of Columbus in Brooklyn. His favorite hobby was just spending time with his cherished grandchildren. He is predeceased by brother, Carmine in 2018 and sister, Mary Noto in 2020. Surviving is his wife of 57 years Harriet (Burtis), daughters, Lisa Duffy, Donna Biller and her husband David, sisters, Annette Cipriano and Josephine Noonan, and 5 grandchildren, Dina, Brittany, Ashley, Natalie, and Nicholas. Visitation is Wednesday 10 AM -1 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester with a 12 PM service. Interment will follow at Brigadier Gen Wm NJ Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association of N.J. 23 Vreeland Road, Suite #105, Florham Park, NJ 07932.
